Barclay Public Library Celebrates 80 Years with Open House and Expansion Announcement

Warrensburg, IL –  Barclay Public Library is proud to mark 80 years of service to the community with a special Open House on Saturday, September 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The celebration will feature displays highlighting the library’s rich history and pay tribute to its founder, Mrs. Pyrle Barclay. Guests can also enjoy entertaining performances by juggling storyteller Chris Fascione at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

During the event, the library will announce exciting plans for expansion, made possible through a recent property acquisition. Attendees will have the chance to share ideas and visions for the future of the library. The expansion will provide additional space for programs, collections, and community events, ensuring Barclay Public Library continues to meet the evolving needs of residents for years to come.
