Rediscover the Real Laura Ingalls Wilder at Free History Program This Saturday
Decatur, IL – Fans of Little House on the Prairie who fell in love with either the classic book series or the iconic TV show won’t want to miss Laura Ingalls Wilder: Her Life, a free educational program at Rock Springs Nature Center on Saturday, July 26 at 2pm.
Whether you know Laura from the classic book series or the iconic TV show, there was more to her life story than the average fan knows. As a multi-faceted woman, she continues to inspire, attract controversy, and foster debate amongst her admirers and critics as new books and podcasts emerge. Guest speaker Janilyn Kochner, a Professor of History at Richland Community College, will give the audience an in-depth look into Laura’s life beyond covered wagons and prairie dresses.
This program is free, and no registration is required. About the Macon County Conservation District:

Will there be a recording of this event available afterwards? I loved these books so much as a child and would love to be able to attend. However, I am currently in San Antonio, Texas so won’t be able to make it. Thanks in advance for your response.
