The Macon County Conservation District To Host Bigfoot Hike Oct. 5

Get ready for a night of mystery, excitement, and outdoor fun at the Rock Springs Nature Center for a Bigfoot Hike on Saturday, October 5 from 7-9pm. Join us as we explore the world of cryptids, creatures, and nocturnal wildlife, the finish the night by sipping hot cocoa and toasting marshmallows by the fire.
This unique event kicks off with a fascinating look into the legend of Bigfoot, including local sightings and recorded sounds that have sparked curiosity for years. As we dig into the history of these mysterious creatures, you’ll gain insights into the lore surrounding one of the most famous cryptids.
After learning about Bigfoot and other nocturnal creatures, we’ll set off on an exciting night hike to see if we can spot the “big guy” ourselves! Along the way, participants will also discover more about the fascinating wildlife that comes to life after dark.
To top off the adventure, we’ll gather around a cozy campfire for hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows—perfect for warming up and sharing your thoughts on the night’s discoveries.
The event is $5 per person and online registration is required by 12pm, October 4.
