DECATUR POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THAT MURDER SUSPECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

     During the investigation into the shooting death of Deamontae L. Weaver, which occurred on May 22, 2026, Decatur Police Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Zyishon J. Estes on a charge of First-Degree Murder.

     On Friday, May 29, 2026, Estes was taken into custody by the United States Marshal’s Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force at a location in the 3400 block of West Main Street in Decatur.  Following his arrest, Estes was booked into the Macon County Jail.
