Coalition Of Neighborhood Organizations To Meet March 17

     The public is invited to attend the March meeting of CONO (Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations) on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The meeting will begin at 5:30pm in the Madden Room on the first floor of the Decatur Public Library, 130 North Franklin Street. The organization hosts public meetings the third Tuesday of each month. It is a free forum that is open to any resident. Meetings typically last one hour.

     Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations (CONO) will host guest speaker Darsonya Switzer, CEO of DOVE on March 17th.    She will speak about the many services DOVE offers to the community.  Darsonya began her career as a formal Dove, Inc. staff member in 2009. However, she has been involved with the Dove-Homeward Bound Program and the Macon County Continuum of Care (CoC) for more than 20 years. Darsonya started her career as a Case Manager for the program in 1999 through a collaborative funding project between Decatur-Macon County Opportunities Corporation (currently Empowerment Opportunity Center), Dove. Inc., and the CoC. She currently serves as Chair of the CoC and serves on several other boards and committees.
     Neighbors are invited to attend even if they do not have an organized neighborhood. CONO is an active supporter of National Night Out, Little Free Libraries, neighborhood gardens and other neighborhood activities.   The organization meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm in the Madden Room at the Decatur Public Library.
