Storm Debris Pickup Scheduled in Macon County


     Macon County officials have announced a storm debris pick-up for the unincorporated areas
affected by the December 28, 2025 disaster event. Pick-up will be Monday, January 5, 2026, for
designated areas affected by recent severe weather. All material will need to be curbside by the
designated pick-up date.

Scheduled Service Areas:
• 4400 block of Sandcreek Road
• 5200–5600 blocks of Bentonville Road
• 1850–2000 blocks of Buckhead Drive
• 3600–4000 blocks of Skyline Drive
• 4500–4600 blocks of Walton Drive
• 3400–4600 blocks of Marilyn Drive
• 3400–4600 blocks of Jeanette Drive

Debris Placement Guidelines:
• Place all debris at the curbside for collection.
• Separate debris into two distinct piles:
1. Woody debris – including tree limbs, branches, and landscaping materials
2. Household and construction debris – non-organic and construction materials only
     Residents whose areas are not listed may request consideration for debris pick-up by calling 217-
424-1330 or emailing [email protected]. All requests will be evaluated on a case-by-
case basis.
     Residents are encouraged to follow the guidelines carefully to ensure efficient and timely collection.
