Children’s Museum of Illinois to Host Teach the Tutor

Decatur, IL – The Children’s Museum of Illinois has created a new program, Teach the Tutor, to
help junior high and high school students learn how to teach math to younger kids.
Teach the Tutor is a five week crash course in tutoring for kids in sixth grade and above. This
program is hands-on with a special session on marketing and pricing a tutoring business as well
as a focus on tutoring younger siblings.
The program is completely free, but advanced registration is required.
Teach the Tutor will be held every Thursday from October 23rd to November 20th from 5:00 –
6:30 pm at the Children’s Museum (55 S. Country Club Rd., Decatur, IL 62521).
There is a free information session on Thursday, October 9th at 5:00 pm at the museum. We’ll
explain the program, answer questions, and clear up any concerns.
