God’s Shelter of Love To Host The Blue Jean Ball Oct. 9

     God’s Shelter of Love has announced the Blue Jean Ball, an evening dedicated to celebrating hope, friendship, and community while supporting the vital work they do for women and children in need. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, located at 1 Bachrach Ct., Decatur, IL.
     Guests are invited to wear their favorite blue jeans and join us for a night of delicious food, exciting entertainment, and great company. Doors will open at 5:30 PM, with dinner served at 6:00 PM. After dinner, attendees can look forward to an exhilarating evening featuring mechanical bull riding, a photo booth and dancing to country tunes that will keep everyone on their feet. All proceeds from the Blue Jean Ball will go directly to supporting God’s Shelter of Love’s mission to provide help and hope to women and children in Decatur. The organization is committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus, offering a safe haven and essential services to those who need them most.
     “We are so excited to bring the community together for this fun-filled evening,” said Jeff Ingle, board member and general manager of the Country Club of Decatur. “The Blue Jean Ball is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a chance for people to come together, enjoy themselves, and support a cause that truly makes a difference in the lives of many.”
Tickets for the Blue Jean Ball are free, but you must RSVP to attend. There will also be an opportunity to give a donation to support God’s Shelter of Love’s mission.
