Gallery 510 Art & Framing Receives Rural Initiative Grant From Illinois Humanities

Gallery 510 Art & Framing at 160 East Main Street in Decatur has announced receipt of a foreground rural initiative grant from Illinois humanities.
The not-for-profit will use these funds to further its arts in education programs of the young artists showcase, the spring exhibition and the student artist of the month. These programs for fifth grade students through high school provide opportunities for young artists in underserved rural areas, recognizing and rewarding their artistic talents.
These exhibitions are held at the Madden Arts Center providing a wide audience to these student artists.
The artwork is prepared for display and hung by Gallery 510 Art & Framing. Awards are presented at a reception for the students.
A key priority for foreground rural grants is to connect grantees with resources, tools and networks to advance their missions. Rural communities face unique challenges in organizing cultural work. This grant provides access for rural communities to reach potential audiences and resources often not available to them.
