Slonaker Announces Candidacy For Meridian CUSD # 15 School Board

Nicole Slonaker, a Millikin University graduate with both a B.S. degree in Management and a M.B.A., has officially filed to run for a seat on the Meridian CUSD # 15 School Board. Slonaker, along with her husband Josh and son Xavier, has lived in the district for almost seven years.
As a proud mom of a 4th grader at Meridian Elementary, Slonaker is invested in ensuring the importance for all children in the district to have the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe school with teachers and staff that are fairly and equitably compensated as well as respected for all they do to teach our future.
Slonaker will bring to the board a focus on positive leadership, collaboration, transparency, willingness to ask questions and have crucial conversations, as well as the ability to develop meaningful relationships. She has a strong background in leadership and healthcare supply chain logistics. Slonaker has also regularly volunteered in the elementary school for the past six years as well as serves as a member of the MES PTO. She also serves the community by volunteering for, and giving back to, many various groups and causes.
The Meridian CUSD #15 School Board is composed of seven members and there are currently four open seats for the election occurring April 1, 2025.
