Public’s Input Requested Regarding Proposed Roadway Improvements Along Main & Water Streets (Business Route 51)

     A public meeting will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Main Street Church of the Living God, 2000 N Main St, Decatur.
     The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) invites you to attend an open house meeting regarding the proposed roadway improvements along Main & Water Streets (Business Route 51) from Eldorado St. to Pershing Rd.
     IDOT, in conjunction with the City of Decatur, has studied various roadway improvements along the routes and beautification of the surrounding area.
     You may come and go at anytime during the scheduled meeting hours, examine the preferred alternative exhibits, provide input, and speak with IDOT representatives.
     The meeting is accessible to individuals with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance may contact Matt Bower, IDOT Plans Project Engineer at (217) 342-8359.
