Decatur Memorial Hospital to Host Free “Beyond Coronary Heart Disease” Event

DECATUR – Interventional cardiologist Dr. Casey Becker will be the featured speaker at a heart health event hosted by Memorial Specialty Care at Decatur Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

The event, which coincides with National Heart Month, will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Classroom B at DMH. This is the first educational event open to the public at DMH since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020.

The topic for the session is “Beyond Coronary Heart Disease.”

“Most people are familiar with the risks of coronary heart disease, including heart attack,” Becker said. “But there are many other heart conditions that affect patients of all ages.”

The session will cover the importance of early detection for these conditions, as well as the latest treatment options.

Light refreshments will be served. The event is free, but registration is preferred. Registration is available online at memorial.health/events.
