David Moore’s Candidacy For Secretary Of State Is Endorsed By Two Chambers Of Commerce

After meeting Illinois Secretary of State candidate, David Moore, the Greater Decatur Black Chamber of Commerce and the Black Chamber of Commerce of Illinois both endorsed his candidacy.

“On behalf of GDBCC and BCCI, we want to thank Alderman David Moore for stopping by to discuss his projected platform. As stated in the meeting, we look forward to supporting the campaign in whatever capacity necessary. Let’s stay connected to get elected,” Tamarra Fuller, president of GDBCC and Anthony Walker, president of BCCI said in a joint statement.

Moore was in Decatur to meet with ministers and circulate petitions. While there he reached out to the chambers of commerce to discuss the office, which is responsible for keeping track of 466,000 corporations; 230,000 limited liability entities; 159,000 registered securities sales-persons; and 16,000 investment advisor representatives, according to the secretary of state’s website.

“I had a very good meeting with the two chambers. They both were receptive to my ideas for the office and I look forward to working with them during and after the campaign,” said Moore.
