Saint Patrick’s Day Parade In Decatur March 12

The annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade will be held Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Decatur. Social distancing will be observed and wearing a mask is encouraged to minimize the risk of being exposed to the virus or exposing others. The same as last year, vehicles only, no walkers, no direct contact between parade participants and the watching crowd.

Each group is limited to two vehicles for variety and in the interest of space – not as much room as usual to line up. Here’s an idea – one family will have a pick-up truck pulling a small trailer decorated for St. Patrick’s Day and the children will be dressed up and tossing goodies. Perhaps a family or group of friends could do the same. There will also be a Covid-19 appropriate gathering at the KC Hall.

For questions or if wanting to join the parade, call or text Jim Wrigley at 217-685-0696 or e-mail jwrigley@koehlbros.com.
