R BAR & GRILLE TO REOPEN IN DOWNTOWN DECATUR THIS FALL

   Dagan Stocks, former owner of Red Barn Kitchen at the Decatur Airport, has purchased R bar & grille, 157 W. Main St., from the estate of Randall “Randy” West, who died in January. His son, Austin West, said, “I am extremely happy to be able to pass the reins of R bar to Dagan. It is my firm belief that Dagan exhibits the same character of my father in that the quality of the meal, experience and attention to detail will be second to none. I believe my father would be ecstatic to know that the restaurant will remain R bar and that is a great comfort.”

     Stocks admired the vision of the R bar creator, and his uncompromising approach to creating a unique dining experience in Decatur.

      “I have huge respect for the vision that Randy created for R bar. My goal is to build on that vision and turn the restaurant into an institution in downtown Decatur, furthering the business development that is occurring there,” he said.

     Since its opening in 2017, R bar developed a reputation for excellent food, drinks, and an unforgettable dining experience in the downtown. Through his uncompromising and creative culinary approach, Stocks built his own following at Red Barn Kitchen, using his culinary training and experience to create farm to table offerings, craft cocktails, and curating one of the largest bourbon selections in Illinois. Fans of both restaurants will find the best of both at the new R bar & grille.

     Details about future menus, hours of operation, and possible entertainment are currently in development. Previously issued gift certificates will be honored.
