PATCHING OF ILLINOIS 121 IN DECATUR BEGINS APRIL 9

DECATUR – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that pavement patching on Illinois 121 between Bearsdale Drive and University Avenue in Decatur begins April 9.

The work will require daily lane closures, with at least one lane open at all times. Access to businesses within the work zone will be maintained during the project, which is expected to last about four weeks.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
