MACON COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ASSESSMENTS OFFICE IS CLOSED

 

      Kim Fowler, Chief County Assessment Officer at the Macon County Supervisor of Assessments Office, has notified the news media that the office is currently closed due to the closure of the Macon County Office Building. “During this time, this office will not be taking any phone calls,” said Fowler. “I will reply to emails throughout this closure as time allows. My email address is kfowler@ co.macon.il.us.

     “Please note that the majority of the Homestead Exemptions can be filed by mail. If you file by mail, please include copies of the current required documentation that is listed on the back of the exemption application. The Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Exemption applications for 2020 are due November 1, 2020. All other Homestead Exemptions are due December 31, 2020. You will have ample time to complete these exemptions for the 2020 payable 2021 real estate taxes”
