DECATUR FAMILY YMCA ANNOUNCES CO-INTERIM CEOS DURING LEADERSHIP TRANSITION

The Decatur Family YMCA has announced that Matt Noonan, current Director of Finance, and Angela Foulke, current Director of Health and Wellness, will serve as Co-Interim Chief Executive Officers as the organization begins the search for its next permanent leader in partnership with YMCA of the USA.
The announcement follows the departure of outgoing CEO Dominic Santomassimo, whose leadership helped advance the Y’s commitment to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Noonan and Foulke will provide shared leadership during this transition, helping ensure continued stability, strong operations, and mission-focused service to Y members, staff, volunteers, and the broader Decatur community. Foulke has previously served as Interim CEO during the Y’s last leadership transition, bringing valuable experience and familiarity to the role. Noonan contributes strong financial leadership and organizational insight through his experience as Director of Finance.
“We are confident in the strengths and experience both leaders bring to this role, as well as our shared commitment to ensuring stability and continuity during this transition,” said Scott Rosenbery, President of the Decatur Family YMCA Board of Directors. “We also want to recognize that the success of the Decatur Family YMCA has always been – and will continue to be – a team effort. We are grateful for the dedication and leadership demonstrated by staff across the organization each day.”
The Decatur Family YMCA Board of Directors will continue working closely with YMCA of the USA throughout the CEO search process. Board leadership will also meet regularly with the Co-Interim CEOs during the transition to support the organization and ensure continued progress.
The Decatur Family YMCA remains committed to providing programs and services that support individuals and families of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. From youth programs and aquatics to wellness and community outreach, the Y will continue its work to create opportunities for all to learn, grow, and thrive.
