Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend has announced that the rescheduled Christie Clinic Illinois 5K will take place on Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. Entrants in the race were notified via email today about the new date.
Here are the key details:
Organizers created a new route that will end right outside Memorial Stadium on Kirby Avenue, where participants will receive their coveted 5K finisher medal as well as food and drinks. The 5K postrace party, including a live band and the Riggs Beer Garden, will take place on Kirby Avenue, just west of the finish line.
If participants picked up and kept their 5K bib, they can utilize it as is on the rescheduled race day! Those who discarded or lost track of their bib can request a replacement.
For those I-Challenge entrants who didn’t receive their bonus I-Challenge finish medal at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 27, the race will have those at the rescheduled 5K.
If the new date doesn’t work for those who already registered, they can choose from virtual racing or deferring to 2025.
If folks want to participate but weren’t previously registered, organizers hope to be able to open up a select number of 5K slots in the rescheduled event. More information will be shared about this via email soon.
