Millikin University’s Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Omega is hosting a 5k “Color Run for Love” April 22

DECATUR, IL — Millikin University’s Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Omega is hosting a 5k “Color Run for Love” to raise money for the Growing Strong sexual assault center.

The race will take place on Saturday, April 22nd in Fairview Park. Runners will be doused in colorful powder, making for meaningful memories and a wonderful photo opportunity, all for an important cause.

Community members of all ages are invited to run or walk at their leisure. The top three finishers will receive prizes donated by local organizations, including vouchers for a craft workshop at the Secret Garden and tickets to a Millikin School of Theatre and Dance production.

The event’s $25 registration fee includes participation and an exclusive T-shirt — plus a Krispy Kreme donut upon completion.

Alpha Chi Omega is a National Panhellenic Conference sorority with a philanthropy supporting domestic violence and sexual assault awareness and prevention. This event serves to recognize April as National Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
