MAC ON SPORTS: LEAGUES MEET TO SOLVE FAN ISSUES

Athletic Directors from the Central State 8 are meeting today (Wednesday) to discuss the latest directive from the Illinois Department of Public Health regarding its 20 percent of venue capacity for outdoor sports, including football.
The Central Illinois Conference AD’s are meeting Thursday to talk about the same issue.
The Sangamo of which Maroa-Forsyth is a member had not decided on a date yet when this was written.
Mount Zion’s Ben Davis said they will be allowing 530 fans in for Braves football and soccer games which represents 20 per cent of its venue capacity.
Athletic Directors are in a no-win position as there is no way they’re going to please all the fans from their school or those from visiting teams.
An earlier story on the IDPH’s new directive for the number of fans was posted here Monday afternoon and can be read below. As always, the Decatur Tribune covers prep issues like no other.
