Partial resurfacing of Eldorado Street, William Street and 22nd Street in Decatur Underway
DECATUR – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that a partial resurfacing project on Eldorado Street and William Street (Illinois 105) from east of 26th Street to east of Bender Road and on 22nd Street (Illinois 121) from Eldorado Street to Wood Street is underway.
The work includes resurfacing the most needed areas within the project limits. Traffic may be reduced to one lane in each direction at times, with traffic control utilizing message signs, arrow boards, spotters and barricades. This project will provide a smoother road surface for the traveling public. The project is expected to be completed in the middle of July.
Motorists can expect delays and allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment. Motorist are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the area if possible.
