Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations Meeting May 19

The public is invited to attend the May meeting of CONO (Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations) on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The meeting will begin at 5:30pm in the Madden Room on the first floor of the Decatur Public Library, 130 North Franklin Street. It is a free forum that is open to any resident. Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations (CONO) will host two guest speakers at this meeting. Dr Jeremy Morris will talk about the projects of the SIA Neighborhood Association. Dr Morris serves as President of the group. He will also share upcoming neighborhood projects and events. The second speaker will be Bret Robertson, chairman of History of the Heartland. Mr. Robertson will talk about his new book he authored about the beginnings of baseball in Decatur and about events happening in the historic district which is part of the Millikin Heights neighborhood.
Neighbors are invited to attend even if they do not have an organized neighborhood. CONO is an active supporter of National Night Out, Little Free Libraries, neighborhood gardens and other neighborhood activities. The organization meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm in the Madden Room at the Decatur Public Library.
