Christmas Lights are All Glowing at D & D Farm

 

 

 

 

 

 

Decatur, IL – Owners David & Dawn Brix of D & D Farm have been open for the public to see their spectacular light display. Since 2018, the Brix family have been adding more and more lights to the displays and it is absolutely worth the drive to see them.

There are now over 250,000 lights this year and there are new displays which includes a semi-truck and trailer completely covered, more lighted figures and more Blow Molds which some are considered antiques.

The Christmas light show is drive through only with parking allowed in the field across from the house or if the field is too wet, the public can park alongside the road to watch. Just be sure not to block traffic. Viewers only need to turn their headlights down to parking lights and tune into 89.3 fm and the music will start instantly with the lights blinking and moving with the rhythm of the songs.

As an added touch, you might see Santa, Mrs. Claus, an elf or the Grinch during your drive and the kids may receive a special treat! On December 16 and 17 Diggity Dawgs food truck will be selling corn dogs, chili cheeseburgers, chili cheese fries, vegetable beef soup, cookies, hot cocoa, coffee, water and more, along with photo opportunities in a sleigh with Santa from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Special gifts and candy canes will be handed out too! Saturday hours are from 5:00-10:00 pm and Sunday 5:00-9:00 pm.

Toward the end of the drive, you will see a donation box asking for donations. You can place cash in the box, or you can even scan one of the two QR Codes on the signs with Paypal and Venmo. The proceeds of all funds will go toward the bulb replacements for next years’ show, as well as planned expansions of the show, three scholarships at Richland Community College, and other organizations they support.

The light show is OPEN 7 days a week, Sunday through Thursday 5 pm to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 5 pm to 10 pm. The Christmas Light Show can be seen at 4109 Garver Church Road in Decatur which is just north of Richland Community College. You will see the lights and know you’re in the right area immediately.
