Today, conservative Republican Regan Deering officially launched her campaign for State Representative of the 88th District. With a firm commitment to protecting life, defending the Second Amend-ment, lowering taxes, and up-holding conservative values,
“I am running because hard-working people in the 88th District deserve a fearless and effective conservative leader who will fight tirelessly for our values and interests,” stated Deering. “I am not a career politician. I have built a career that puts a priority on high-quality education for all, investment and caring for our community, and giving back to others by serving. As your Representative,
“I will live my faith, advocate for a quality education for every child regardless of zip code, defend our 2nd Amendment rights, fight for lower taxes and less government red tape, and support our first responders.”
Illinois’ 88th House District includes portions of Macon, McLean, DeWitt, and Piatt Counties. It is currently represented by Rep. Dan Caulkins, who has honored his promise to only server three terms and will not seek reelection.
“I love Illinois, but I am afraid for my three children’s future here. Our great state is being torn apart by extreme Democrats, who are forcing their radical values into our homes and schools, relentlessly attacking our cherished freedoms, and destroying our jobs and economy. We must put an end to this destructive agenda,” explained Deering.
“We need conservative leaders in Springfield who can deliver real results. I pledge to wake up every day and fight for our families; never surrendering to the Chicago political bullies.”
Deering is an unwavering advocate for conservative values and freedoms. As a former small business owner, she intimately understands how lower taxes and government reform can unleash prosperity for all.
Deering’s adoption at birth into a loving family fuels her unwavering commitment to protecting the unborn and supporting parents facing an unplanned pregnancy.
She has served as the volunteer Chair of the Decatur Public School Foundation, oversaw the building of the new community food bank, and currently sits on her local school board, where she brings her passion for ensuring every child has access to an excellent education. Her track record of fighting for ordinary Americans has earned the trust of Republican voters. In 2022, she was the Republican nominee for Congress in Illinois’ 13th District, where she ran against President Biden’s destructive policies.
Deering holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Duke University and a Master of Education from DePaul University. She is a lifelong resident of the area, and along with her husband Brian, are devoted parents to three children. They are members of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
