‘History Of The Heartland’ Issues Second Commemorative Coin
History of the Heartland has commissioned a limited-edition elongated coin commemorating the Staley Pump house and the 100th anniversary of Lake Decatur. Coins will be given away to the first 20 attendees at various Historic Preservation Week events.
The coins are FREE courtesy of the History of the Heartland organization. Historic Preservation Week is May 20-May 26. Locations will be announced on the History of the Heartland Facebook page. The coin features an image of the iconic Staley Pump House. This is the second of an annual series of limited-edition commemorative coins to be pressed for Historic Preservation Week. History of the Heartland is a not-for-profit organization with the mission of preservation of our historic structures, homes, and the stories of our people.
