Millikin Women’s Basketball Ranked 23rd
DECATUR, Illinois—With a 19-4 record, the Millikin University women’s basketball is ranked in the top 25 in two national polls.
Millikin is ranked 23rd in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division III Top 25 and 25th in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released on February 14.
Millikin received 42 points in the WBCA poll and 50 in the D3hoops.com poll.
Millikin 13-1 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and has clinched at-least a share of the conference’s regular season title. Millikin has two games remaining and with a win will secure the outright CCIW Regular Season Championship and the number one seed and right to host the CCIW Tournament.
The WBCA NCAA Division III poll is voted on by a committee of head coaches representing each of the 10 NCAA Division III regions.
The D3hoops.com Top 25 poll is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country. D3hoops.com is the premier web site dedicated to covering NCAA Division III basketball.
Millikin will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. hosting Elmhurst. The Big Blue will play its final regular season game of the year is February 18 at Carroll University. The CCIW Tournament is scheduled for February 24-25.
