MAC ON SPORTS: ST. TERESA’S NOONAN ACCEPTS MILLIKIN ASSISTANT POSITION

    Tom Noonan has resigned as Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at St. Teresa High School.
    Noonan has recently accepted aposition as assistant coach for the Millikin Mens’Basketball program.  HE will remain as a Social Studies teacherNoonan coached at St. Teresa for 17 seasons with the last 11 as head coach.
    As head coach he had an overall record of 205-92, won 5 conferencechampionships, 2 regional championships, 1sectional title, 1 super-sectional title, and coached the 2015 State runner-up team.  Noonan wasnamed as a Illinois basketball coaches association(IBCA) Coach of the year for District 15 in2015 and 2018.
    Larry Daly, High School Principal stated, “Mr. Noonan has been an incredible coach for St. Teresa High School, He has been an integral part of the successof the program.Todd Vohland, St.Teresa Athletic Director stated,“It’s been my pleasure to watch Coach Noonango from being a volunteer assistant for me in 2004to becoming one of the best coaches in thearea. I’m excited for him as he chases one of his goals to be a college coach.St. Teresa will begin looking for a Head Boys’ Basketball Coach as soon as possible.
    First preference will be given to candidates who are qualified To teach at St. Teresa as well as coach.  St. Teresa currently has openings in English, Special Education and Guidance. Interested applicants should contact Mr. Larry Daly, PrincipaL OR Mr. Vohland Athletic Director.
