THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MACON COUNTY TO BEGIN ACCEPTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ON JAN. 1

 

 

 

      The Community Foundation of Macon County will begin accepting online scholarship applications for the 2021-2022 academic year on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at www.maconcountygives.org. Macon County high school seniors who have been accepted at an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Current college students are also eligible. Only completed electronic applications will be considered. Deadline to apply is Monday, March 1, 2021. Individual scholarship awards vary in size from $250 to $6,000.

      “These scholarship awards are made possible through funds established at The Community Foundation of Macon County by generous donors committed to education,” says Scholarship Coordinator Kathy Carter. “Each year, these scholarships provide a total of more than $75,000 to benefit approximately 50 Macon County students seeking to complete higher education degrees.”

     Eligible students should complete and submit the online application at www.maconcountygives.org. Established in 2000, The Community Foundation of Macon County stewards more than 300 funds and total assets of $42 million.
