After finishing as runnerup a year ago in a four hole playoff with Isa Gabsa, Jillian Hollis won the 35th and final Forsyth Classic Sunday evening at Hickory Point Golf Club by two strokes with her 13 under par. Her 13 under score is the same one she finished with a year ago. She received her $30,000 check from director Cindy Deadrick-Wolfer. This tournament is the longest running on the Symetra Tour.
In her closing comments, Director Cindy Deadrick-Wolfer said, “For 35 years, this community has embraced over 3,000 women of diverse ages, backgrounds and nationalities as they chase their dream of playing professional golf. I am confident that the players and the residents of this community have been blessed to have this opportunity to build life long relationships and that the impact of the Forsyth Classic has been significant both on a personal and economic level. “From the bottom of my heart, I thank all that have supported the Tournament!,” concluded Deadrick-Wolfer.
